Satellite Fast Foods & Bakery (“Satellite Bakery”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).
We collect only the information you choose to give us: your name, contact details and message when you email us or use our contact form, and your order details when you place an order by phone, WhatsApp, email or in store. If you create a profile once online ordering launches, we will also store your login details and order history.
We use your information to respond to enquiries, prepare and confirm orders for collection, invoice corporate and standing orders, and let you know about your order. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Your information stays with us. We share it only with service providers who help us run this website and process communications (such as our hosting provider and WhatsApp, when you choose to message us there), and where the law requires it.
This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies (such as browser storage) to remember your preferences — for example your cookie choice itself — and to load the fonts the site uses. We do not currently use advertising cookies. If we add analytics in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer, and you can clear or block cookies in your browser settings.
Under POPIA you may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Contact us at orders@satellitebakery.co.za or on 011 917 9406 and we will help. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
We take reasonable, appropriate steps to protect the personal information we hold against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
